Robert Dean Baudison

Robert Dean "Bob" Baudison, age 83, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 9:40 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Bob was born on Dec. 9, 1929 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a son to John E. and Roberta Lucille (Chapman) Baudison. On May 23, 1956, he married Mabel Stockton in Corinth, Miss. and she survives. He was a sewing machine mechanic for Martha Manning Garment Factories in Pinckneyville, Ill., Mascoutah, Ill. and Collinsville, Ill. and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. Bob was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. where he worked as the the church custodian, retiring after 10 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was a member of American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Bob enjoyed gardening, riding his bike, fishing with his cousin Jim Baudison and enjoying his social club with the guys at McDonald's and Dixie's. He was an avid Pinckneyville Panther fan, especially softball and enjoyed getting the fields ready to play ball. Bob was a dedicated family man and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a devoted grandpa and enjoyed watching his favorite granddaughters playing softball.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Baudison of Pinckneyville, Ill.; daughter, Staci (Scott) Liske of Nashville, Ill.; two granddaughters, Abbi Liske and Alli Liske; one nephew, Dennis Stephenson; two nieces, Beth Boling and Donna Baker; several great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Fred and Birdie Stockton; and one sister, Ilene Stephenson.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Charles Boling officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at First Baptist Church on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
