Proud moment: New Perry County Clerk Josh Gross takes oath

Josh Gross of Du Quoin was sworn in Monday as the 25th County Clerk of Perry County as his mother, Linda, held the Bible and father, David, stood at their side. Josh's wife, Lisa, was nearby. Administering the oath of office was Circuit Judge Gene Gross of Du Quoin. Gross succeeds 10-year Perry County Clerk Kevin Kern, who has taken a position with Congressman Bill Enyart's office. The courtroom was filled with county board members, other office holders and Perry County government staff.
