Seized drug task force vehicles going to the highest bidder at State Police

The Southern Illinois Drug Task Force holds an annual spring vehicle sale in order to raise funds which supports the drug unit by paying operating expenses, such as phone bills, equipment purchases, fuel and vehicle expenses. The Drug Task Force has offices located at Du Quoin, Ullin, and Carmi. The vehicles for sale can be vehicles that have been purchased and paid for by the SIDTF. The vehicles can also be seized as the result of a narcotics case and then legally awarded to the task force through the court system. These vehicles are used for a period of time and then later sold. The bids are due no later than 10:00 a.m. on April 29, 2013.
