District 300 board grants maternity leave

The Du Quoin Board of Education Thursday granted a maternity leave for instructor Sarah Geiger at the start of the 2013-2014 school year with her tentative return Sept. 23, 2013. The board tabled a maternity leave request from Dacis Harsy, waiting for more information.

The board also considered but tabled administrative salary increases until the June meeting.

The board heard an update on the completion of the new DHS, now hoped for in July or early August.
