Lawanda L. Lively

Lawanda L. Lively, age 85, of Du Quoin, Ill., passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, Ill.

Lawanda was born on Jan. 31, 1928 in Old Du Quoin, Ill., a daughter to Raymond and Fern (Settlemoir) Fred. On Dec. 9, 1950, she married Gerald D. Lively Sr. and he preceded her in death on March 21, 2011. Lawanda was a homemaker and was a cook at Wheatley School, Du Quoin, Ill. for several years.

Survivors include three sons, Gerald D. (Terri) Lively Jr. of Odin, Ill., Raymond (Gail) Lively of Warrenton, Mo. and Thomas (Chris) Lively of Pinckneyville, Ill.; four grandchildren, Misty Lively of Warrenton, Mo., Eric (Karen) Lively of Evansville, Ind., Sherry Quillman of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Rachel Larkin of McChord Air Force Base, Wash. and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Fred and Fern Fred-Huntley and her husband, Gerald D. Lively Sr.

Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Du Quoin, Ill. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Wild Turkey Federation or the donor's choice and will be accepted at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill.
