Eloise Threewitt
Eloise Threewitt, 85, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:10 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Eloise was a homemaker and had worked at Illinois Commercial Telephone in Murphysboro for five years and at Petry's Clothing for 18 years. She was a member of the St. Johns United Church of Christ in Du Quoin. Eloise was a member of the Women's Fellowship at the church and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Pinochle Club for over 50 years.
She was born Nov. 18, 1927 at Murphysboro, Ill., the daughter of Carl and Ella (Emling) Daum.
She married Thomas J. Threewitt on Nov. 26, 1948 at Murphysboro and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, two daughters - Sherry Kopka of Chicago and Denise Crain and husband Brett of Du Quoin, one brother - Bill Daum of Murphysboro, three grandchildren - Brooke Ruengpinyophun and husband Aaron of Chicago, Nathan Crain and wife Amber of Du Quoin and Jordan Crain and fiancee Jennifer Melvin of Du Quoin, four great grandchildren - Briar Crain, Owen Ruengpinyophun, Alivia Crain and Iyla Ruengpinyophun.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law - John Kopka and two brothers - Wallace Daum and John Daum.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 at the St. Johns United Church of Christ in Du Quoin with Rev. Dwayne Dollgener officiating.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park at Murphysboro.
Friends may make memorials to the St. Johns United Church of Christ or the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
