Emma C. Sizemore

Emma C. Sizemore, 73, of Du Quoin, passed away at 7:15 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2013 at her residence.

Emma had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Du Quoin.

She was born Dec. 25, 1939 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Lucian and Frances (Stickles) Dennison.

She married Lyle Sizemore on Oct. 12, 1957 at Du Quoin and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, one daughter - Amy Sizemore of Du Quoin, one son - Danny Sizemore of Coulterville, one brother - Orval Dennison of Christopher, 12 grandchildren - Devan Vaughn of Du Quoin, Debbie Moss of Du Quoin, Kaylie Sizemore of Springfield, Ill., Michelle Neal of Centralia, Danny Sizemore Jr. of Springfield, Jessica Neal of Du Quoin, Andrea Beal of Silverdale, Wash., Derrick Sizemore of Pinckneyville, Hunter Sizemore of Pinckneyville, Jaklyn Miller of Coulterville, Kenny Batten of Pinckneyville and Alyscia Hassebrock of Coulterville, seven great grandchildren - Tristan, Savannah, Elijah, Gauge, Tach, Jaxson and Hallie, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter - Sandra Moss, six sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Second Baptist Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Kent Eaton officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
