Du Quoin city council to discuss Delta downtown sidewalk grant tonight

The Du Quoin City Council meets at 6 p.m. tonight with the following agenda under consideration.

• Approve the minutes of the June 24, 2013 regular Meeting of the Du Quoin City Council.

• Approve bills to be paid.

• Approve Resolution 2013-R07-01 approving a participation agreement with the Delta Regional Authority pursuant to a grant application concerning improvements to Main St.

• Approve Resolution 2013-R07-02 approving the costs for 2013 street oil and chip maintenance program.

• Appoint Daphney Schimanski and Dane Mason to become members of the Du Quoin Tourism Commission.

• Appoint Ted Harsha to the Du Quoin Police Pension board.
