No trucks through Pinckneyville square beginning July 15

The Illinois Department of Transportation would like to alert truckers only of an upcoming road closure on the north leg of IL 127 leading off the Pinckneyville square. This closure is for trucks only. Passenger car traffic will be allowed to use the north leg of IL 127 off the Pinckneyville square.

Beginning Monday, July 15, truck traffic will not be permitted to use the north leg of IL 127 off the Pinckneyville square. Due to contractors working on the widening of the northeast quadrant of the intersection, space will be extremely limited. Trucks will not be permitted to use the north leg of IL 127 off the square. A marked detour for northbound trucks will be east on IL 154, north on US 51, west on IL 15 and then back to IL 127 at Nashville. Reverse detour for southbound trucks. Passenger car traffic will be allowed through the construction area.

Motorists should use extreme caution, reducing speed and begin alert to any construction equipment and workers. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the work zone as quickly as possible.
