Babette Reese

Babette Reese, age 94, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Babette was born on April 27, 1919 in Benton, Ill. a daughter to Arthur B. and Mary "Mayme" C. (Neil) Heisler. On June 15, 1945, she married Halleck Reese in Los Angeles, Calif. and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2011. She was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, proudly serving her country during WW II. Babette was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill., where she taught Sunday school and was involved in church activities. She was a homemaker and performed office and secretarial duties for the family business, H. F. Reese Accounting.

Survivors include a son, Rick (Donna) Reese of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a son-in-law, Tom Toliver of Sparta, Ill.; six grandchildren, Beth (Brad) Turner of Nashville, Tenn., Lisa Toliver of Chicago, Ill., Erin (Corey) Cain of San Francisco, Calif., Christina Reese of Chicago, Ill., Suzanne Reese of Chicago, Ill. and Donovan Reese of Pinckneyville, Ill.; two great grandchildren, Reese and Ryan Turner of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Bill Heisler of Pensacola, Fla.;

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Vicki Toliver; and one brother, Harold Heisler.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Cindy Bean officiating. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at St. Paul United Church of Christ from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
