Accident west of Pinckneyville

A 23-year-old Pinckneyville man was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident Monday. At 9 a.m. Zachary Vuichard was driving his 2005 Toyota truck behind a 20013 Chevrolet van driven by Thomas Hobbs of Belleville. Both were following a farm tractor and Vuichard rear-ended the Hobbs vehicle in front of him. The Hobbs vehicle sustained major damage.
