Mary E. Woodside

Mary E. Woodside, age 88, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 at 3:05 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Mary was born on Oct. 9, 1924 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a daughter to Russell "Ren" and Mathilda (Doolin) Atkins. On June 6, 1942, she married Everett H. Woodside in Pinckneyville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1987. Mary was a member of Roes Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and enjoyed embroidering, dancing and jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Yolanda Kaye (Tim) Issler of Pinckneyville, Ill., Andrea (Ryan) Lewis of Carterville, Ill. and Tiffany Jayne (Richard) Bates of Pinckneyville, Ill.; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia (Ed) Harrel of Du Quoin, Ill. and Helen Nussbaum of St. Louis, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Sandy Woodside of Pinckneyville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jim Woodside; two brothers, Russel Atkins and William Atkins and three sisters, Dorothy Ann Atkins, Adeline Zimmer and Viola Spangler.

Funeral services will be held at Roes Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Charles Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at Roes Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
