Laurie Lee Morgan

Laurie Lee Morgan, 53, of Elkville, passed away at 12:23 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin.

She was a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and based out of Du Quoin. She was a member of the Elkville Baptist Church.

She was born July 12, 1960 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Richard Leroy and Joyce E. (Foster) Jaroski Sr.

She married Michael K. Morgan on July 5, 1980 at Elkville, Ill. and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Elkville, one daughter - Amy Joyce Foster and husband Henry Travis of Du Quoin, one son - Kyle Richard Morgan of Elkville and fiancee Cassie Richards of Murphysboro, her mother - Joyce E. Jaroski of Dowell, stepson - Michael Dale Morgan and wife Jennifer of DeSoto, Ill., step grandchildren - Logan Morgan, Nolan Morgan and Joseph Morgan, all of DeSoto, one brother - Richard Leroy Jaroski Jr. and wife Terry of Elkville and her dogs - Gracie Lou, Duke and Baxter.

She was preceded in death by her father, one sister - Debra Lee Robison and her grandparents - Riley Lester and Hazel Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jaroski.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Darryl Williams and Rev. Scott Slone officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.

Friends may make memorials to the Cache Creek Animal Shelter in Anna, Ill. and will be accepted at the funeral home.
