Naomi M. Davison

Naomi M. Davison, 80, of Tamaroa, passed away at 9:25 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Naomi was a homemaker. She was a member of the Tamaroa Independent Pentecostal Church.

She was born April 13, 1933 at Tamaroa, Ill., the daughter of George and Lela (Weisel) Ferguson.

She married Jackie Lee Davison on Dec. 7, 1955 at DeSoto, Ill. and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2010.

She is survived by six children - Mara Lee Woodcock and husband George of Du Quoin, Jackie Joe Davison and wife Donna of Du Quoin, Michael Eugene Davison and wife Patricia of Tamaroa, Sharon Knapp and husband Bill of Du Quoin, Tom Davison and wife Debbie of Percy and John Eric Davison and wife Anastasia of Tamaroa, brother-in-law and sister-in-law - Jack and Dorette Stone of Pinckneyville, 21 grandchildren - David Woodcock, Nicholas Woodcock, Rachael Davison, Robin Davison, Amber Jones, Ashley Knapp, Jessica Knapp, Amanda Knapp, Cody Knapp, Damian Knapp, Skylar Knapp, Misty Hemingway, Mandy Farris, Melissa Farris, Brigette Davison, Madison Davison, Ty Davison, Jacob Davison, Lillie Knapp, Alissa Knapp and Zachary Knapp, foster grandchild - Angie Mitchell, four great grandchildren - Eli Hemingway, Ella Hemingway, Jayci Farris and Ava Hemingway.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter - Clara Jane Davison and her step mother - Phyllis Ferguson.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at the Tamaroa Independent Pentecostal Church in Tamaroa with Rev. Kirk Steele officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday.

Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the Tamaroa Independent Pentecostal Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
