Wilburn Luther

Wilburn Luther, age 81, of North Riverside, Ill., formerly of Elkville, Ill., passed away on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 at 6:32 p.m. at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, Ill.

Wilburn was born on Aug. 7, 1932 in Elkville, Ill., a son to James C. and Maudie (Whitley) (Wooldridge) Luther. He married Lilia Sukeviciute and she survives. He was the owner/operator of several businesses in his lifetime including a real estate business.

Survivors include his wife, Lilia Luther of North Riverside, Ill.; five children, Diane DeGrace, Wilburn (Anne) Luther, Tracy Luther, Wayne Luther and Nate (Krys) Luther; three siblings, Dorothy Dobbe, Marion Wooldridge and Pat Burdel; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Claudia Williams and Nina Burdel.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Joseph Oganda officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Du Quoin, Ill.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m until 10:00 a.m.
