Christopher N. Harvey

Christopher N. Harvey, age 26, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Christopher was born on March 19, 1987 in Sparta, Ill., a son to Leslie Harvey-Daniels. He attended the police academy and worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Perry County Sheriff's Department, Perry County, Ill. Christopher was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., and the Knights of Columbus, Pinckneyville, Ill. He was a man of strong faith who loved his job, enjoyed helping people and dearly loved his family and friends.

Survivors include his fiancée, Kathleen Kelley of Pinckneyville, Ill.; his daughter, Kylie Harvey of Pinckneyville, Ill.; his mother, Leslie Daniels and step-father, Shawn Daniels of Pinckneyville, Ill.; two brothers, Nicholas Harvey of Du Quoin, Ill. and Chad Harvey of Sparta, Ill.; one sister, Danielle Miller of Pinckneyville, Ill.; one nephew, Jacoby Perkins of Pinckneyville, Ill.; maternal grandfather, Bruce Coffel of Pleasant View, Tenn. and his fiancée's parents, Tom and Chris Kelley of Du Quoin, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Eloise Coffel.

Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Nick Junker officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday morning at the church from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society for brain cancer research or Education Fund for Kylie Harvey.
