Bonnie Faye Tedder
Bonnie Faye (Queen) Tedder, 71, of Tamaroa, was peacefully called home by her Lord on Jan. 9, 2014 at 10:55 a.m., surrounded by her family at her residence.
She was born Dec. 15, 1942 to Archie and Evalyn (Miller) Queen.
She is having a heavenly reunion with her parents, husband: Johnny and sister: Brenda Tate.
She attended Lincoln Christian College and started her career as a beautician, then married and was a homemaker. She became a bus driver for Tamaroa High School until they consolidated with Pinckneyville Community High School. She retired in June 2013 after 33 years and had always referred to the kids on the bus as her 'bus kids.' She gathered together with her church family at Friendship Church of Christ every Sunday. She used her talent to decorate the church in seasonal flower arrangements.
She is survived by four children: Rhonda Whitley and Brad of Dix, Ill., Rachel (Brian) Kellerman of Pinckneyville, Ill., Wayne (Jessie) Tedder of Tamaroa, Ill. and Renee (Alan) Laird of Waltonville, Ill., seven grandchildren: Breanna Whitley, Josh (Tab) Kellerman, Shay Kellerman, Brandon Hardin, Levi Laird, Lexi Laird and Ravyn Laird, two great grandchildren: J.D. and Caseton Kellerman, two surviving sisters: Glenetta (Gordon) Loucks of Tamaroa, Ill. and Mala (Larry) Jones of Du Quoin, Ill., many loved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at the Friendship Church of Christ in Tamaroa.
Friends may call from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Friendship Church of Christ in Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to the Friendship Church of Christ in Tamaroa and will be accepted at the church or the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
A family burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin at a later date.
