Marilyn J. Clark
Marilyn J. Clark, 83, of Dowell, passed away at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at the Fairview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Du Quoin.
Marilyn was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was born June 3, 1930 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of William and Dora (Gant) Scarber.
She married James Herschell Clark on Sept. 1, 1951 at Du Quoin and he preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 2005.
She is survived by four children - Judy Rieser of Richmond, Va., James Clark Jr. of Du Quoin, Betty Zacek of Ft. Worth, Tex. and Jackie Clark of St. Louis, Mo., eight siblings - Rose Cook, Glenda Doerflein, Billy Scarber, Viola Johnson, Jerry Scarber, Sharon Sizemore, Charley Scarber and Richard Scarber, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters - Mildred George and Norma Overocker.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.
