Josephine Mary Restoff
Josephine Mary 'Josie' Restoff, 93, of Scheller, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at the Fair Acres Rehab and Care Center in Du Quoin.
Josie had been a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois. She was also a member of St. Theresa Altar Sodality.
She was born Dec. 4, 1920 at Hatley, Wis., the daughter of Steve and Mathilda (Suski) Danczyk.
She married Walter P. Restoff on Nov. 4, 1939 at Chicago, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2005.
She is survived by two sons - Raymond (Xenia) Restoff and Eugene (LaVerne) Restoff, all of Scheller, one sister - Frances Lassa and husband Alvin of Mosinee, Wis., sister-in-law - Irene Danczyk of Mosinee, Wis., 10 grandchildren - Thomas Restoff and Kathryn of Scheller, Kathy Krisfaluzy and Michael of Du Quoin, Diane Buza and Randy of Scheller, Kevin Restoff and Samantha of Scheller, Francie Landewee and David of Chaffee, Mo., Jim Restoff of Okawville, Ill., Bobby Restoff and Diedra of Tamaroa, Danny Restoff of Tamaroa, Steven Restoff of Pinckneyville, and Jeannie Landewee and Todd of Chaffee, Mo., 13 great grandchildren and one due soon, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers - Frank Danczyk, Joe Danczyk and Ted Danczyk, and two sisters - Anna O'Neal and Martha Skortz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Du Bois.
Friends may make memorials to St. Charles Renovation Fund or TIP Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
