Dolores Elaine Lamczyk

Dolores Elaine "Blondie" Lamczyk, 79, of Du Bois, passed away at 12:27 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mount Vernon.

Dolores and her husband Sylvester ran the Blue Moon Tavern at Ashley from 1956 to 1960. They then ran the White House Tavern in Du Bois from 1961 to 2002. Dolores was also a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois and the Du Bois Catholic Daughters.

She was born Dec. 25, 1934 at Du Bois, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Anna (Zettler) Skurat.

Dolores married Sylvester V. Lamczyk on Nov. 21, 1956 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois. He passed away on Nov. 8, 1990.

She is survived by two sons - David Lamczyk and wife Mary and Barney Lamczyk and wife Martha, all of Du Bois, three grandchildren - Crystal Storck and husband Michael of Addieville, Amber Whitener and husband Matthew of Du Bois and Christopher Lamczyk of Du Bois.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2014 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Du Bois.

Friends may make memorials to the St. Charles Catholic Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
