Oren Dale Lee

Oren Dale Lee, 70, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2014 at his residence.

Oren had worked as a laborer in construction. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Laborers' Union. Oren was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a SP4 and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He was born April 3, 1944 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of Ward Robert E. and Alice Marie (Marlow) Lee.

He is survived by one brother - Lowell Lee of Du Quoin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Military graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin with the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion and the Army National Guard conducting the service.

Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the V.F.W. and Legion Funeral Detail and will be accepted at the funeral home.
