Ramona June Stotlar
Ramona June Stotlar, age 80, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at 5:35 a.m. in her home, surrounded by her family.
Ramona was born on Aug. 28, 1933 on the Wilson farm, Pinckneyville, Ill., a daughter to John A. and Flora Ethel (Jenkel) Logan. In December of 1951, she was united in marriage to Richard M. Pyatt and they had two children, Kevin Pyatt and Cynthia Pyatt-Coleman. After that marriage ended, she then married Dr. Gene Stotlar in 1975 at the First United Methodist Church, Du Quoin, Ill., and he survives. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., and dearly loved her church and church family. Ramona was a homemaker and quite an accomplished seamstress and has her beautiful draperies hanging in many friends' and relatives' homes even today. She loved quilting, traveling, golfing, skiing, tending her flower garden, watching the birds and taking care of others, her family and her beloved Schnauzer, Holly.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Gene Stotlar of Pinckneyville, Ill.; her son, Kevin (Beth) Pyatt of Pinckneyville, Ill.; her daughter, Cynthia (Larry) Coleman of Pinckneyville, Ill.; her sister, Dorothy (Don) Jones of Shreveport, La.; seven grandchildren, Amy (Derek) Cleland of Pinckneyville, Ill.; Jenny (Bud) Grasso of Edwardsville, Ill.; Todd Coleman (fiancé, Chelsea Miller) of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; Julie (Thomas) Crockett of Washington, D.C., James Pyatt of Austin, Tex., Dylan Shook of Tampa, Fla. and Bailey Shook of Bloomington, Ill.; six great-grandchildren, Chloe Yates, Logan Cleland, Brayden Cleland, Kendall Cleland, Henry Grasso and Harper Grasso; her beloved dog, Holly and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Wilbur "Casey" Logan, Clarence "Babe" Logan, Nelson Logan and Oran Logan and her sister, Iva Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Charles Boling and Dr. Jay Lowder officiating. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
