Roberta A. Jackson
Roberta A. Jackson, 77, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at her residence.
Roberta had worked for Illinois Power Company. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville.
She was born March 30, 1937 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Jacob A. and Bertha K. (Struth) Stein.
She married Allen Jackson on Aug. 24, 1961 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Pinckneyville, two sons - Jeff Jackson of O'Fallon, Ill. and Doug Jackson and wife Jill of Coulterville, Ill., one daughter - Kathy Peach and husband Brent of Benton, Ill., grandchildren - Justin Jackson and fiancee Chelsea Wilson, Kole Jackson and Kade Jackson, step grandchildren - Kelsea Peach, Gage Peach and Aiden Peach, one step great granddaughter - Lily and one sister - Rosemary Stein of Du Quoin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers - Bernard Stein and Cyril Stein.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin with Fr. Augustine Ibezimako and Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois, St. Bruno School or Masses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
