Brenda Jane Holland

Brenda Jane Holland, 70, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Brenda had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin.

She was born March 5, 1944 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of George and Ethel Jane (Coulter) Holland.

She is survived by four children - Robert Horn Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., Justin Horn of Rolla, Mo., Julia J. Horn of Du Quoin and Carol J. Derby and husband Jason of Du Quoin, two brothers - Arlie Holland of Pinckneyville and George 'Sunny' Holland of Marion, five grandchildren - Brooke Derby, Andrew Derby, Ethan Brant, Arianna Horn and Emma Horn and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin at a later date.
