Arvil Lee Craig, 61, of West Frankfort, passed way at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at the home of his sister, Mike and Sharon (Green) Swann, of Marion, with family at his side. Lee was the son of the late Arvil and Betty (Dasher) Craig. He was born Aug. 20, 1953 in Du Quoin. He never married, but had a lovely companion for 16 years- the love of his life, Angel Louise Bower of West Frankfort.

Arvil also considered Angel Louise Bowers' children as his own, Billy (Gayla Johnson) Williams, Gary (Lisa Eastey) Jarvis, four grandchildren and four step grandchildren. He loved all of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Johnny M. Craig; one sister, Rosalie (Craig) Wininger and two nephews.

Lee enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He could take a shovel and rake and make a beautiful garden and then help everyone who needed a hand. Arvil Lee could make your day when he'd tell you fish stories and hunting stories and making pot holders for Angel and all of us girls for Christmas.
