WRESTLING: Quillman, Zepeda win for PCHS
Pinckneyville hosted Carlyle for varsity wrestling on Wednesday night, and the Indians outscored the Panthers 36-12 for the team victory in the auxiliary gym at PCHS. The Panthers picked up three individual wins, one by forfeit, two on points.
Pinckneyville's Faleshia Quillman out-pointed Carlyle's Christian Wells in the 152-pound division 10-6, and in the 195-pound class, PCHS's Josh Zepeda defeated Kirin McCord 5-3.
Gabe Strohlein was award a forfeit win in the 170-pound division.
The PCHS wrestling squad, coached by Garrett Huggins, has the next week and a half off before they travel to Carterville for a tournament on Saturday, December 27.
The next home meet for the Panthers will be on January 7, 2015 against Carmi and Sparta.
