John F. Roe
John F. Roe, 87, of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of the Tamaroa area, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, Mo.
John had been a welder for National Steel in Granite City, Ill. He was a Southern Baptist.
He was born June 3, 1927 at Farmington, Mo., the son of Alfred and Nora (Warren) Roe.
He married Laurene Hester on April 7, 1946 at the Fourth Baptist Church in St. Louis, Mo. and she preceded him in death on Feb. 10, 2008.
He is survived by one son - Bruce Roe and wife Teresa of St. Peters, Mo., two grandsons - Jason Roe and wife Julia of O'Fallon, Mo. and Joshua Roe and wife Monica of St. Charles, Mo. and three great grandchildren - Violet Roe, Scarlet Roe and Jonathan Roe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter - Frances Roe, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial will be in the Knob Prairie Cemetery at Waltonville, Ill.
