Linda Flannigan

Linda Flannigan, 76, of Mulkeytown, Ill., passed away Jan. 6, 2015 at Du Quoin Nursing & Rehab Center

She worked at Medical Transcriptions in Nashville, Tenn. and was a member of Mulkeytown Christian Church.

She was born May 1, 1938 in Mulkeytown, Ill. to Emmett 'Dobber' and Verble (Hill) Swisher. She married Raymond Flannigan on April 6, 1957 and he survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children- David and Paula Flannigan of McKinney Tex., Mark Flannigan of Mulkeytown and Tracy Flannigan of Mulkeytown, granddaughter- Shana Flannigan, great grandchildren- Avanna Hall and Dixie Hall, brothers and sisters- Charles 'Dobber' and Judy Swisher of Mulkeytown, Ill., Bob and Evelyn Swisher of Coello, Ill., Janice and Norm Tilley of Du Quoin Ill. and Debbie and Jerry Stanley of Mulkeytown Ill. and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday January 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Gilbert Funeral Home, Christopher Ill. Burial will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Friday until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be to Mulkeytown Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Linda was a loving mother and military wife, taking care of family while her husband was gone to serve his country. She enjoyed traveling the world with Raymond world very much.
