WRESTLING: Jones 1st, Panthers 7th at Mt. Olive

The Pinckneyville Panthers wrestling team finished seventh of the fourteen teams at Saturday's Mt. Olive Invitational tournament, and senior Richard Jones took home first place in the 192-pound weight class.

Other top finishers for PCHS included Quinin Baker (3rd, 195-lbs.), Gabe Stroehlein (3rd, 170-lbs.), Jordan Koester (4th, 126-lbs.), Garrett Williams (4th, 120-lbs.) and Tyler Eggemeyer (5th, 138-lbs.), giving the Panthers six medalists for the day.

Pinckneyville hosts Benton and Murphysboro on Tuesday night at PCHS starting at 6:00 p.m.
