Sheriff's Office arrests three after discovery of meth labs
<span>In a Wednesday news release, the Randolph County Sheriff's office announced three arrests a day after questioning three "persons of interest" in connection to the discovery of methamphetamine labs in rural Percy and rural Sparta on Tuesday.</span>
<span>21-year-old Jonathen E. "Jono" Haslett, of Percy, 40-year-old John G. Haslett, also of Percy, and 19-year-old Michael A. Boyt Jr., of Sparta, were arrested for meth-related offenses and all three are incarcerated at Randolph County Jail pending a bond hearing.</span>
<span>The Hasletts are father and son, according to Randolph County Sheriff Shannon Wolff.</span>
<span>All three are charged with unlawful participation in methamphetamine manufacturing and the unlawful possession of meth manufacturing chemicals.</span>
<span>Boyt Jr. also faces obstruction of justice charges in regards to evidence destruction after he allegedly destroyed meth manufacturing chemicals by burning them.</span>
<span>In a news release, Wolff expressed his thanks to the other agencies involved in the multi-department investigation, which included the Sparta Police Department, Steeleville Police Department, Coulterville Police Department and the Illinois State Police Methamphetamine Response Team.</span>
<span>Wolff also thanked Jackson County Sheriff Robert "Bob" Burns in the release for his help in interviewing the suspects.</span>
<span>The amount of methamphetamine that was seized was not released. Photos of the suspects are not being released until the Sheriff's Office completes its investigation and additional arrests may be possible.</span>
