Dorothy Lucille McQuaid

Dorothy Lucille McQuaid, 90, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Dorothy had been the office manager at the Du Quoin Packing Company for 47-and-a-half years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.

She was born March 29, 1924 at Elkville, Ill., the daughter of Ralph E. and Bertha D. (Cook) McQuaid.

She is survived by her sister-in-law - Shirley McQuaid of St. Charles, Mo., six nieces and nephews - Janice Eisenbath and husband Steven of New Florence, Mo., Karen Schuette and husband Dale of Wright City, Mo., Ralph McQuaid and wife Terri of St. Charles, Mo., Jennifer Dubendorf of Arlington, Va., Loren Felts of California and George Felts of Missouri, several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister - Louetta McClure and one brother - Ralph McQuaid.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Gerald Wright and Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
