Beverly Jane Halfacre

Beverly Jane Halfacre, 80, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:21 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Integrity Healthcare in Carbondale.

Beverly was a homemaker and a member of the Liberty Church in Du Quoin.

Beverly enjoyed playing cards with friends, was an avid bird watcher and loved her cats Missy and Cricket.

She was born Nov. 28, 1934 at Albuquerque, N.M., the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Malone) Galbraith.

She married David Green on Oct. 24, 1952 in Du Quoin and he preceded her in death. She then married Charles Halfacre on May 15, 1984 in Elkville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 2012.

She is survived by her son - David B. Green and wife Chanda of Carbondale, son - Robert O. Green and wife Linda of Olathe, Kans., step-son - Michael Halfacre and wife Debby of Pinckneyville, step-daughter - Debra Brown and husband Mark of Du Quoin, step-son - David Halfacre of Du Quoin, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way, two great-great-grandchildren, brother - Bruce Galbraith and wife Karen of Sunfield and a longtime friend and caretaker - Karen Giffin of Du Quoin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and one daughter - Diana Kay Green.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Lon McPherson officiating.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Denning Cemetery at Orient, Ill.

Friends may make memorials to the Liberty Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
