Obituary for Ester Dillow

Esther N. Dillow, age 91 years, a resident of rural Goreville and a former resident of Chester, passed awayTuesday afternoon, February 3, 2015, at 3:32 PM at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Esther was born March 3, 1923 in Rockwood, Illinois.

On October 14, 1948, Esther was united in marriage to James Glenn Dillow in Corinth, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on January 11, 1989.

Survivors include: a daughter - Phyllis Stout of Marion, 2 great grandchildren - Jessica and Bradley; a nephew - Rex Moore of Chester; and a niece - Marie Lynde of Parker, South Dakota.

In addition to her parents and husband, Esther was preceded in death by her grandchildren - Scott Frazer and Denise Arzadon and 2 brothers - Clarence Moore and Arthur Moore.

Esther was employed for many years as a mender at Prim Hosiery Mill in Chester.

She was a member of the Busby Chapel Freewill Baptist Church near Goreville. Esther enjoyed drawing sketches and gardening. She was an animal lover and was especially fond of her cats and dogs.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon,February 8, 2015, at 3 PM at Busby Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, south of Goreville. Pastor Brent Schuetz will officiate. Burial will be in the Cana Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
