Obituary for Rose Seymour

ROSE MAE SEYMOUR, 78, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Haines City, FL.

She was born to the late Herbert and Gertrude (nee: Branscum) Foster on November 24, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky.

She married James Douglas Stirnaman on March 5, 1960 in Evansville, IL. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1979. She then married Roy Lee Seymour on October 31, 1980 in Jackson, Missouri. He survives.

Rose had worked for the International Shoe Company in Chester and Evansville and then was a cook around Ellis Grove at The Truck Stop and The Grove.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, IL.

Survivorsinclude her husband Roy Seymour of Ellis Grove, IL; one daughter Tammy (Charles) Hartman of Chester, IL; one sister Margie Geneal Weaver of Chester, WV; two grandchildren Jennifer (James) Knott of Ellis Grove, IL and Charles Suhre of Chester, IL; and two great grandchildren Blake Huffman and Parker Knott.

Preceded in death by her parents, one infant son - Terry Allen Sellers, two brothers - Herbert

Foster and Paul Foster, one sister - Helen Just, one half-brother - Raymond Foster and one half-sister - Geneva Foster.

Funeral Service was held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Ellis Grove, Illinois with the Rev. Bill McCluskey officiating.

Interment followed at Ellis Grove City Cemetery, Ellis Grove, Illinois.
