Obituary for Ruby Allison

RUBY FRANCES ALLISON, 97, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 5:17 pm on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester, IL.

She was born to the late John H. and Sylvia (nee: Medcalf) Jungewaelter on July 24, 1917 in Warrenton, MO.

She married Reuel D. Allison on August 14, 1943 in San Diego, CA. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1995.

Ruby was a retail clerk. She had worked at Chester Bakery, the International Shoe Company in Chester and Schueren's Shoe Store.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, IL, The Red Hat Ladies of Chester, IL, Women's Club, Beta Sigma Phi, American Legion Alva Courier Post #487 Auxiliary and the Catholic Council of Women. Ruby was a quilter and loved crafts.

Survivors include her two sons Richard (Bev) Allison, Chester, IL and Ray Rob (Ilene) Allison, Chester, IL; five grandchildren Jay (Carol) Allison, Chester, IL, Bill (Deisi) Allison, Monroe, LA, Mandy (Doug) Loudenback, St. Mary, MO, Stacy (Richie) Humphreys, Millersville, MO and Malissa Wilcox (special friend Drew), St. Louis, MO; nine great grandchildren Billy Allison, Jr., Jaelyn Allison, Joseph Allison, Brennan Allison, James D. Loudenback, Allison Loudenback, Dalton Humphreys, Josh Humphreys and Aramet Wilcox.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband - Reuel Allison, three brothers - John, Earl & Clyde

Jungewaelter and three sisters - Mae Kolb, Darlene Poulis and Grace Buatte.

Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, Illinois with the Very Reverend Eugene H. Wojcik, V.F. officiating.

Interment followed at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Chester, Illinois.

Memorials can be made to the St. Mary Catholic Church Remodeling Fund or Chester Food Pantry.
