Obituary for Thelma Weaver

STEELEVILLE - Thelma R. Weaver, 91, of Chester, Illinois, formerly of Steeleville, Illinois, passed away at 1:50 pm, Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital in Chester, Illinois.

Thelma was born on December 16, 1923, in Percy, Illinois, the daughter of Herman and Sophia Dierks Knop. She married Orville E. Weaver on September 8, 1946 in Steeleville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1986. Thelma was a Homemaker and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville.

Thelma is survived by one daughter, Rosemary (James) Oetting of Chester, IL; one son, Martin (Cindy) Weaver of Maryland Heights, MO; grandchildren, Jason (Courtney) Oetting of O'Fallon, IL, Megan (Fiancee: James Hook) Weaver of University City, MO; and two brothers, Wilbert (Carol) Knop of Willisville, IL and Bill (Alice) Knop of Steeleville.

Funeral service was held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Kelley Bedard officiating. Burial followed in St. Mark's Lutheran Church Lutheran in Steeleville, Illinois.
