Alberta L. Phillips

Alberta L. Phillips, 89, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:50 P.M., Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Fairview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Du Quoin.

Alberta had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Elkville Christian Church in Elkville.

She was born May 28, 1926 at Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Everette and Pearl (Brayfield) Cook.

She married Edward Phillips and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by one grandson - Tighe House of Iowa and one brother - Donald Cook of Elkville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son - David Cook, one daughter - Shelley House, one sister - Wilma Napier and one brother - Emil Cook.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville with Bro. Jerry Aken officiating.

Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.
