Betty Jean Brand

Betty Jean "Jeanne" Brand, age 64, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 10:00 p.m. in her home surrounded by her family.

Jeanne was born on May 26, 1951 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Clarence E. "Babe" and Mildred Bernice (Hutchings) Logan. On June 13, 1969, she married Bill Brand in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL and he survives. Jeanne was member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL, where she enjoyed quilting and helping with funeral dinners. She enjoyed cooking and canning, but loved being a grandmother, was devoted to her family and was a loving caregiver to her daughter, Valerie.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Brand; son, Bart (Keri) Brand; daughter, Valerie Brand, all of Pinckneyville, IL; three grandchildren, Khylee Tidey, Tristan Caby and Ryley Brand; one great-grandchild, Brajlin Tidey; one brother, Ross (Jessica) Logan of Pinckneyville, IL; three sisters, Kay (Glen) Kaffenberger of Osage Beach, MO, Janet Brand of Pinckneyville, IL and Crystal (Keith) Campbell of Pinckneyville, IL; several dear brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Scholebo and his wife, Jane; two brothers-in-law, Bob Brand and Ted Brand; and a nephew, Todd Pratt.

Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited Thursday at 9:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Bruno Catholic School or St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery.
