Evelyn R. Kostecki

Evelyn R. Kostecki, 83, of Du Bois, passed away at 12:55 P.M., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL.

Evelyn had worked in customer service in the banking industry. She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois, St. Theresa Altar Sodality, and Catholic Daughters of America.

She was born June 25, 1932 at Du Bois, IL, the daughter of William and Sophia (Kroeger) Heck, Sr.

She married Thomas S. Kostecki on February 20, 1954 at Du Bois, IL and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1990.

She is survived by five sons - Wayne Kostecki and wife Shannon of Du Bois, Stanley Kostecki and wife Rosalie of Du Bois, Jim Kostecki and wife Debbie of Fairview Heights, IL, Tom Kostecki of Du Bois, and Jeff Kostecki and wife Chris of Troy, MO, one daughter - Mary Klaybor and husband Ken of Du Bois, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers - William ìPeteî Heck Jr. and Vernon M. Heck, five sisters - Frances Biesk, Helen Kurtz, Virdell Deering, Hilda Wojtowicz, and Martha Rulevish, and one grandson - Matthew Klaybor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Du Bois.

Friends may make memorials to St. Charles Cemetery, St. Charles Church, or St. Theresa Altar Sodality and will be accepted at the funeral home.
