Jo Ann Hutton

Jo Ann Hutton, age 83, of Springfield, Illinois died at 9:35 p.m. Sunday September 13, 2015, at Meridian Village Care Center in Glen Carbon. Jo Ann was a retired Girl Scout Executive in Springfield, Illinois for 5 years. Ann later worked for 35 years as an elementary school librarian in the Springfield area. She was born March 15, 1932, in DuQuoin, Illinois the daughter of the late Andrew J. & Josephine (Eichhorn) Hutton. Jo Ann is survived by 1 sister, Carolyn F. Kuethe of Edwardsville, Illinois. She was preceded in death by a cousin Charles Eichhorn of DuQuoin. Other survivors include Ann Eichhorn of DuQuoin and several second cousins in the DuQuoin, Pinckneyville, and Marion area. Jo Ann was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Springfield. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Friday, September 18, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DuQuoin. A funeral mass will follow at 12 noon Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Oganba officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in DuQuoin.
