Obituary for Donald Jany
<span>DONALD JOSEPH JANY, 82, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:29 a.m., Sunday, September 20, 2015 at his residence.</span>
<span>He was born to the late Roman and Stephanie (nee Bert) Jany on August 5, 1933 in Chester.</span>
<span>He married Nedra I. Casetta on August 3, 1957 in Chester; she survives.</span>
<span>He had been an equipment operator for Road District #2 for 19 years and a farmer all of his life. He had also worked at the H.C. Coles Mill and American Device (Dorma) during his lifetime.</span>
<span>He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester and V.F.W. Post #3553 in Chester. He was an avid hunter in his younger years. </span>
<span>He was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. </span>
<span>Survivors include his wife Nedra Jany, Chester, IL; six children Mark Jany, Chester, IL, David Jany, Chester, IL, Paul Jany, Chester, IL, Kevin (Tammy) Jany, Columbus, MT, Douglas (Sarah) Jany, El Cajon, CA, Laurie Ann Jany, Chester, IL; four brothers Lawrence (Roberta) Jany, Chester, IL, Delbert Jany, Chester, IL, Melvin (Rose) Jany, Steeleville, IL, George (Dorothy) Jany</span><span>Chester, IL; five sisters Mildred Gregory, Chester, IL, Irene Hartman, Steeleville, IL, Judy (Bernie) Hubert, Steeleville, IL, Lucille Jany</span><span>Chester, IL, Carolyn "Susie" (David) Powell, Chester, IL; eleven grandchildren Joey Jany, Nicole Jany, Mandy Crum, Staci Roth, Crystal Harris, Sara Harris, Steven Harris, James Jany, Josh Jany, Wyatt Jany and Caleb Jany; three great grandchildren:</span><span>Jadyn West, Hailey Yankey and Kaylin Jany; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</span>
<span>Preceded in death by: parents, one son - Joseph Jany, one daughter - Christine Jany, one daughter-in-law - Vicki Jany, three brothers - Andrew, Herman "Fritz" & Edward Jany, two sisters - Dorothy (Donald) Casetta & Helen (Albert) Mennerich and two brothers-in-law - Jim Gregory & Delbert Hartman</span>
<span>Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, with the Very Reverend Eugene H. Wojcik, V.F. and Deacon Brett Judkins officiating.</span>
<span>Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Chester.</span>
<span>Visitation Tuesday 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday 7:30 am - 9:30 am at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester.</span>
