Isaiah Makail Snowden
Isaiah Makail Snowden, age 17, a resident of Opdyke, IL passed away Sunday, October 25th, 2015 in rural Franklin County, IL.
He was a student in his Senior year at Hamilton County Unit #10 High School in McLeansboro, IL and was also a member of the Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather John C. Evilsizer, maternal great grandparents Harley & Betty Conner, maternal grandmother Opal Evilsizer, paternal great grandparents Fred & Shirley Harlow, great uncles: Wayne Evilsizer, Jeff Conner, Steve Conner, and Morris Cook, an uncle Troy "Moose" Wright, a great aunt Janet Cook, and a cousin Jeffrey Conner.
He is survived by both parents: Jessie & Joyce Scott of Opdyke, IL; a brother Nathaniel Younger of Opdyke, IL; a sister Makalia Younger of Opdyke, IL, a paternal grandmother Sheery Evilsizer (and companion Don Fry) of Flora, IL; maternal grandparents: John & Judy Phillips of DuQuoin, IL; aunts: Johnny Younger of Valier, IL; Jessica Phillips of Royalton, IL; Judy Scott of Womack, IL; Amanda Roberts of Alabama; Leigh Ann Blackburn of West Frankfort, IL; uncles: Patrick Evilsizer of Flora, IL; John Evilsizer (currently stationed in Hawaii in the US Marine Corps); Curt Scott of Centralia, IL; an uncle & aunt Fred & Debbie Harlow, an uncle and aunt Billy & Corrine Ullery, godparents John (Papaw) & Darlene (Mammy) Roberts of McLeansboro, IL; and extended family members: Danny, Veronica, and Daniel of Benton, IL.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the General Baptist Church in McLeansboro, IL.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th at 12:00 noon at the Old DuQuoin Cemetery in Old DuQuoin, IL with Rev. Jason Moore officiating.
Military rites will be conducted by the Army National Guard at the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Hamilton County High School Football Team, or to the family to help with funeral expenses, and will be accepted at the church or at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, which is in charge of the arrangements.
