Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce releases lineup for Wednesday Veterans Day parade

The Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce late Monday released the lineup for Wednesday morning's 10 a.m. Veterans Day parade through downtown Du Quoin. Here is the lineup:

33) Perry County Humane Society-Perry County Humane Society- Perry County Humane Society in Du Quoin, Illinois is a 501 C 3 non-profit, no-kill animal rescue. The Perry County Humane Society's purpose is to promote and provide the humane care and treatment of domestic animals in Perry County, Illinois. Our goal is to reduce the overpopulation and euthanasia rate of adoptable animals and to educate the community on spaying and neutering their pets, responsible pet ownership and animal welfare issues

Lions Club: Chartered in 1935, Present Membership-18, Activities: Annual Christmas basket distribution, sponsors 1 child who is visually or hearing impaired to attend Camp Lions for 1 week annually, collect used eyeglasses and distribute same to various missionary groups, annual screening for visually impaired and hearing impaired, collect used hearing aids that are refurbished and used at clinics where patients are examined and fitted with the hearing aids, Annual Candy day monies are used to support all of the above services, and Annual Chili supper each February.
