Prayers for Caby Hepp

The prayers of the communities of Pinckneyville and Du Quoin are with Radio WDQN morning show broadcaster Caby Hepp.

Caby, 44, has a history of asthmatic episodes which, on occasion, trigger even deeper difficulties.

Family members say Caby was stricken last Wednesday while at his home. He was able to make an Emergency 911 call and the team of Pinckneyville Ambulance Service medics got to him and worked through a number of serious cardiac issues until they got him to Pinckneyville community Hospital.

From there, he was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he is a patient in the critical care unit.

The son of Bob and Karen Hepp, he is listed in critical condition and that's why the prayers for Caby and the family from all of us are so important at this crossroads.

Facebook lit up over the weekend with dozens of prayers and well-wishes for a great and well-liked man. He is allowed only two visitors at a time, according to his dad.

Doctors did their job well in getting him stabilized and performing the various scans that have been necessary to identify how serious this is. Caby is a graduate of the Pinckneyville Community High School, attended Greenville College and has been a prominent supporter of athletics in both Pinckneyville and Du Quoin.

His morning broadcasts get hundreds of Perry County residents through the start of their day.
