WEEKEND: 3 Things to Do

VALENTINE CONCERT

The Sparta American Legion Post 396 is having a youth fundraiser on Saturday at Sparta Trinity Presbyterian Church (301 W. Broadway).

Monty Jackson will be performing with the event scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Donations are $10 per person.

The concert is sponsored by Dr. and Mrs. Morris Kuglar, Iron Ford and McDonald's of Sparta.

DINNER AND DANCE

The VFW Kaskaskia Post 3553 Men's Auxiliary in Chester is hosting a Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance on Saturday.

Dinner will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with Dave Caputo performing starting at 8 p.m.

Menu includes 12 oz ribeye, baked potato or french fries and salad for $18.50. The children's menu includes chicken strips and french fries for $6.50.

No reservations are required and you do not need to be a member of the auxiliary.

STEELEVILLE ALUMNI GAME

The Steeleville Alumni Basketball Game will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at Steeleville High School.

Attendees are asked to bring two shirts - a blue one and a white one. Former cheerleaders, dancers and band members are also invited to return.
