WEEKEND: 3 Things to Do

LIFESAVERS' SNOWFLAKE

<span>The annual LifeSavers Snowflake has been scheduled for Saturday, February 27.</span>

<span>Any Steeleville student in grades 5-8 is invited and encouraged to attend. This year's theme is "Respect Your Selfie" and will center around different aspects of respecting oneself. </span>

<span>Snowflake will begin at 3:30 p.m. and conclude at 9:30 p.m. The event will include presentations from various presenters, activities, games, dinner, and a dance.</span>

TAP TAKEOVER

<span>Schlafly Tap Takeover and Tasting Event will take place Friday, February 26, at Benson's Wine Bar starting at 5 p.m.</span>

<span>Benson's taps will be taken over by Schlafy Beer from Schlafy Brewing Company in St. Louis. Live music by the Chris Murry Duo, food from 17th Street BBQ and prizes will be featured.</span>

<span>Benson's will be offering the following Schlafly beers on tap, with additional beers available for tasting: Schlafly Pale Ale, Schlafly Pale Ale, Schlafly Hefeweisen, Schlafly House Brown, Schlafly Tasmanian IPA, Schlafly Milk Stout, Schlafly Kolsch, Schlafly Winter White Lager and Schlafly Grapefruit IPA.</span>

<span>Representatives from Schlafly Brewing Company will be on hand to discuss their beers and answer any questions.</span>

TRIVIA NIGHT

<span>The Sparta VFW will be having a Trivia Night fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 27, to benefit the Sparta Senior Center.</span>

<span>Doors open at 6 p.m. with trivia to start at 7 p.m. There will prizes for each round with cash prizes for the top three teams.</span>

<span>Entry is $10 per person, with a max of eight people per table. Individual and small groups are welcome with teams available.</span>

<span>A 50/50 drawing, chili and chili dogs will be available. For more information, or to pre-register, call 618-443-4020.</span>
