Trapshooting Hall of Fame holds walkthrough
The Corrigan Moving Systems trailer is still parked outside and many of the exhibits are still in moving boxes that are scattered around the facility.
But the new Trapshooting Hall of Fame and Museum facility at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta held a walkthrough for local dignitaries and media on Wednesday.
"I couldn't be happier with the movers," said Tami Daniel, operations manager for the Trapshooting Hall of Fame. "They have done everything I've asked them to do."
Not even the guns have arrived yet. Daniel said they are currently on loan to the National Rifle Association Museum.
"Those will be back before the AIM shoot," she said.
Daniel also noted that transporting the firearms was a bit tricky, given state regulations.
"Anything that's considered 'live' was stored by one of our trustees," she said. "Otherwise, the insurance would not cover other items on the truck or in storage."
The official grand opening is scheduled for Aug. 7 at 7 p.m.
