Indian varsity boys fall to Goreville 12-3

<pre class="aLF-aPX-K0-aPE aLF-aPX-aLK-ayr-auR">The Du Quoin Indians fell to 2-3 on the season Tuesday afternoon, dropping a 12-3 decision to Goreville.

Du Quoin fell behind early and never caught up as the Blackcats led from start to finish.

Jordan Edwards homered twice for the Indians and went 2-for-3.

Dalton Day and Ryne O'Rourke also had hits for Du Quoin.

" We hit a lot balls hard, " Du Quoin coach Tim Craft said.

" And it kind of snowballed after that ."

Hank Stewart, 0-1, took the loss. He pitched in two and a third innings.

On Thursday, the Indians visit Chester. The game is at 4:30 pm.</pre>
