No injuries in garage fire
<p class="p1">STEELEVILLE -- A Friday morning garage fire at 510 S. Garfield St. resulted in no injuries, but smoke damage to the structure.
<p class="p1">According to Steeleville Police Chief/Village Supervisor Lyn Thies, the homeowner, Tyler Masterson, had been doing work in the detached garage located at the end of a long driveway next to his house.
<p class="p1">Thies told the newspaper that the fire started in a trash can and spread to a nearby workbench and a table.
<p class="p1">Firefighters with the Steeleville Fire Department arrived to find heavy smoke coming out of the garage and were able to keep the fire contained to the structure.
<p class="p1">Firefighters were paged at 11:50 a.m. and were on scene for about an hour.
