Fatal wreck on Randolph County Line Road

<p dir="ltr"><span>A rollover accident Monday evening on Randolph County Line Road near the Marissa Woods Nature Preserve resulted in fatal injuries to a Red Bud man.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>According to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office crash report, a 2008 Jeep Wrangler - driven by 21-year-old Zacharie C. Antry of Red Bud - was westbound on Randolph County Line Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at Doza Creek Road.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>The Wrangler was struck in the intersection on the rear passenger side by a southbound 2014 Nissan Altima, driven by 39-year-old Tanya L. Welten of Baldwin.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>After impact, the Wrangler rolled several times, fully ejecting Antry from the vehicle. The Jeep came to rest on its driver's side in the westbound lane of Randolph County Road.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>According to Randolph County Coroner Randy Dudenbostel, Antry was pronounced dead on scene at 6:55 p.m.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>A 17-year-old passenger in the Wrangler - Cassidy Dickerson of New Athens - was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville with unspecified injuries.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>Welten was uninjured in the accident, which was reported at 6:36 p.m.</span>
